I need some opinions on the speakers I am looking at and the head unit that I have and the amp to go alone with the speakers:

Head unit - Kenwood Excelon KDC-X679
Speakers - Four Pioneer Premier 6.5" TS-A640P
Amp - Kenwood Excelon KAC-X521

What do you think? Thanks in advance for your help.

What kind of car/truck? I'd go with 2 speakers up front and a sub in the rear, personally.

If you have (2) 12's in the back then forget the rear speakers because you won't hear them anyway...save the money and put something better in the doors. You have quite a bit of mounting depth in the doors so you can pretty much put any 6-3/4" comps you want in there. I have CDT CL-62's and couldn't be happier (they handle 150+ RMS)

Do you think that 6.5" Pioneer Premier speakers would be decent enough?
