New guy here with some questions.
I have a new dakota and was getting everything last night for a Mono amp and one 10" sub.
I have the Rockford 301m Amp
And was going to run the Rockford HE #4410 which is the 4ohm single voice coil on the 301m mono amp at 4 ohms.

Which all this make sense to me but the guy sold me the Rockford HE 4810, which is the 8ohm single voice coil sub.
I'm thinking the guy sold me the wrong sub,so the question is.. Go back and get the 4ohm sub or can this 8ohm sub work on a mono amp that says it runs on a 2 or 4 ohm load?

Thanks

take the sub back
ideally for a single sub, get a 2 Ohm model, or one with dual 4 Ohm coils.

if that sub is DVC, and it's 4 Ohms per coil, wire them in parallel for a 2 Ohm load for max output from the mono amp.

you don't want an 8 Ohm load. the amp would be too weak.

Thanks man!!
I took that one back and did what you said.
I got the HE 10" 4ohm DVC and it's wired parallel to the amp.
I've ben out of the amp and sub thing for about 5 years and man does this 1 sub pound in regular cab dakota!

Thanks again :-)
