I drive a 96 GMC sonoma four wheel drive extended cab and i want to put 2 RE xx.x with a hifonics colossus amp in the truck. I was wondering if i would need a new altanator or if the stock one would be fine. Also what battery would you suggest.
how many watts RMS are the amps? .. i would imagine if your running 2 x.x.x subs you would have at least 2000 watts rms total... so you would need at least a 200A alternator... and i would get at least one optima yellowtop if not 2 ... hope that helps
