can i maybe hook this this DJ speaker up to the stereo in my room? it says 8 ohm, all my speakers hooked up to the stereo are 6 ohms, would using it cause any problems? thats my stereo if anyone knows anything about it.
it shouldn't hurt your stereo, i cant promise you that it'll sound too good though because at 8ohms i dont know what kind of power your stereo will put out, you may want to look into getting something either geared a little more towards home audio or a home audio amplifier for it...

You are deffinatly going to need a rack mount amp, or buy a sub that is self powered.
