A friend of mine has 2 12 L5s. He was looking at a Kenwood amp rated at 460 watts x 1 in bridged mode 1 powering each sub. The amp is 4 ohm stable in bridged mode, which means that he would have to wire the subs in a 4 ohm load. 1st question, would that be enough power for them? 2nd, the subs have dual 2 ohm voice coils, since they would be presenting a 4 ohm load to the amp, would they be able to handle the 460 watts of power?

well the L5s handle 600 rms so 460 is allright. just make sure that kenwood amp can put out the 460watts RMS not Peak power. if its 460w RMS then there shouldnt be a problem. yeah and make sure they are wired at 4 ohm not 1 ohm each.
