i would chose a different box than that because the port on a side other than the front of the sub can create port noise and it can reduce the bass you get

also, i would consider a different sub, like a 16kv.2 by elemental designs or a tempest or even a brahma :-)

not a bad setup really.
I hope that box is straight ported.. and you trim the port properly for that sub to tune it.
I'm not a big fan of bandpass enclosures generally speaking.

the box is pretty but I'm not sure if he will have enough power to hit hard with a JBL BP600.1 If I understood it correctly. That is what you are going to use it to power the sub.

yea, the sub is rated at 600 rms, 1200 peak, so its matched perfectly
