i have an Alpine MRV-F357 and iam wondering to know at what voltage my amp is running.. is it on 12.0V or 14.4V...how would i know??
if it's running on 12.0V then how can increase it to 14.4V to get more power out of the amp.

according to the manual it says:

power out put: RMS Continuous power (at 12.0V,20Hz to 20KHZ)
Per channel into 4ohms (CH1-CH4)...30W. 0.08% THD
Per channel into 2ohms (CH1-CH4)...40W. 0.03% THD
Bridged into 4ohms (CH1-CH4).......80W 0.3% THD
4ohms (CH5)........................100W 0.3% THD

power out put: RMS Continuous power (at 14.0V,20Hz to 20KHZ)
Per channel into 4ohms (CH1-CH4)...50W. 0.08% THD
Per channel into 2ohms (CH1-CH4)...60W. 0.03% THD
Bridged into 4ohms (CH1-CH4).......120W 0.3% THD
4ohms (CH5)........................150W 0.3% THD

MAX POWER (at 14.4V)
Per channel into 4ohms (CH1-CH4)...90W
Bridged into 4ohms (CH1-CH4).......240W
4ohms (CH5)........................300W

thanx for any replys

Most cars run about 13.7 or so at idle.
you probably wont hear a lick of difference between
13.7 and 14.4 anyhow.

Hey I think those guys are on drugs. A .4V doesnot make an amp 2x stronger. If you read the manual carefully, they're trying to trick you. One is rms power and the other is peak (max) power. Ignore the peak crap.
Use common sense, if a company made an amp that put out 2x more with only .4v difference, they'd be all over the news... :-)
