My amp is getting seriously hot, and i dont want to mess with fans and all of that crap. so do i just wire it in series. or will that just give me a 8 ohm load? |

Help2 Unregistered guest | A single voice coil sub will present the rated load to the amplifier. eg.. a single 4 ohm can only present a 4 ohm load. a dual voice coil sub gives you more wiring options. meaning...depending on how you wire each coil individually, then together, and to the amp eg.. a dual 2 ohm sub can present either a 1 or a 4 ohm load. Impedence is the resistence the signal of the amp faces, or "sees" the lower the impedence, the more current/heat/output. that help? |

If so then just put all the + on the speakers to the + on the amp. And all the - to the - on the amp. That would be bridged. Only do this if the amp can handle a 2 ohm load. |

This tells you that you can only run this amp in 4 ohm stereo. (187.5W X 2 @ 4 Ohms RMS) Since you have two 4 ohm SVC subs, this amp cannot be run any other way with the wiring options that you have in front of you. Unless you can bridge this amp, like lucas said, into a xxxW x 1 @ 2 ohms RMS, then you'll have to run it in stereo. I got that information at (http://www.audioallies.com/GetItem.asp?Item=Power+750S) so they may not have had all the options your amp was capable of. Can't tell you for sure unless you take a look in the manual which probably came with your amp. |

This amp says it is 2ohm stable so does that mean it is stable in bridged mode as well? right now i got my audiobahn hooked up to a soundstorm 250.2 amp in 2ohm bridged. but the amp gets really hot after it is played for 30 min or more. so i was just wondering. im going to just hook up the 2 amps since the stretch daddy amp is tri mode capable and has line outputs. and just run the old amp to my 6x9's in the back. |

Sucubus Unregistered guest | Its wasting power, because you cant wire those subs up in bridged mode without either running the amp at 2 or 8 ohms... 2 ohms will most likely toast the amp, and 8 ohms would be a waste because youd only be getting half the output of the amps highest rated RMS.(8 ohms in series, bridged(mono) or 2 4ohm channels in parallel, stereo...same thing) If you got an amp capable of running at 2 ohms bridged, youd be better off. |
