Maybe your overloading the amp. How do you have your speakers wired? How much of a load(ohms) are you putting on the amp? Can the amp handle it? Check your ground wire to the amp.

I have a dual 4 ohm voice coil subwoofer.I have one channel to each coil.I don't know if it's too much, but it sounds the best that way.Is this a bad idea? How would the ground affect my amp?

Is your amp bridgable to 2 ohm? If it is then bridge it. I heard that if you have a bad ground connection then you can blow fuses. Check the ground connection and amke sure that it is tight.
