What does 2ohm and 4ohm mean??

If my subs are 2ohm dual voice coils and each sub is 100-300 rms max watts, does that mean one woofer can receive that many watts total or that many watts per voice coil, which would be twice the previous amount of watts????

One 2 ohm DVC sub can handle up to 150 watts per coil (max of 300 watts); 2 ohms and 4 ohms just refers to the over all impedance.

in simpler terms.. ohms is how much resistance there is. the lower resistance (i.e 1 ohm) the more current or 'power' will flow through that circuit (i.e cable).
