Where to find 4"x6" 8 ohm speakers

8 ohm is OEM for a piece of equipment of mine. Are they available anywhere? All I can find is 4 ohm. I'd like to keep it original without going the autoformer route. Thanks.

won't have much luck there.
unless you go with a factory replacement speaker from a dealer.

This was the premium sound system in Allis Chalmers combines in the early '70s'. OEM hasn't been available for a LONG time (I can see why). Thanks for the reply.

some GM factory speakers are 10 ohms.
That'll be a fairly close match.
You could probably try using LPads to attenuate the signal to a set of 4 ohm 4x6 plates as well, which may work out for you since an Lpad circuit adds impedance to the circuit path.

The Lpad concept is new to me, but looks like it may be the way to go. That website does a nice job of explaining/discussing it. Thanks!
