I have a kenwood KAC-7201 amp hooked up to an audiobahn 15 and for some reason the amp stopped pushing at high volumes. The amp will work fine at low volumes, but when i turn it up, the sound isn't getting to the sub at all and if it does it come, its in weird sporadic spurts. i've tested the sub on a different amp and its fine. does anyone know whats wrong with my amp

sounds like you may have a 2 ohm sub on a bridged amp.
that'll cause the amp to shut down and go into thermal overload.
especially kenwood amps.. they do that a lot even with a normal load due to poor design.

is there any way to fix it,like running the sub at 4 or 8 ohms, or is the amp screwed.

if the amp is DVC and wired for 2 ohms, you can rewire it for 8 ohms, but that's a severe drop in power to do so.
best bet is to replace the amp with a mono amp, and maybe use that 2 channel amp for front speakers.
