Will an IDmax 12" be OK in a 1.5 cuft ported box? (net volume)

i only have room to build a box for my 12" idmax that will be 1.5cu ft after port and sub displacement. It says on the ID site that it should be used in a minimal of a 1.8cu ft vented box. But will it be ok to put it in the 1.5 cu ft vented box that i have the room for?
