Silicone has no effect on JL speakers?

ok i've got a JL 10w3v2 goin in a custom box and wanted to seal it up tonight... after the silicone applied has been in there for about 8 hours. now i've heard all the rumors and such but then came across this on the JL website: "Fortunately, most JL Audio subwoofers have a specially treated surround that protects them from hungry acetic acid fumes which is cause #1 not to be overly concerned with using silicone to seal your box."

so am i able to seal it up later tonight when the silicone solidifies or should i wait?

Let the silicon cure before you put the sub in!

dont take a chance...let it cure over night.
