What are the best programs to do this? Does it take long for each CD to be converted? Does this effect the sound quality of the music? Anything else tip wise you can fill me in on?

I use Musicmatch Plus and it does a very good job. I have also used Roxo's version 6 with good results as well. It does not take any longer than ripping a CD. The playback quality in my car is excellent.

you can also use windows media player 9 to do it.
well, it'll rip to wav files then you need a .WAV to .MP3 converter.
