I have an Alpine Type R 2Ohm sub... I have an eagle talon which has a hatchback and lots of room. How would i get the most bass and quality sound out of my sub? through a sealed or ported box... right now i have a Q logic sealed box and i have the sub laying in it facing up towards the top of the hatchback, but i get soem distortion.
that box should work fine, as far as your distortion prob check your freq on the amp x-over, it should set at least 80hz or lower, also if your amp is to small it will cause the sub to sound distorted, make sure your giving it at least 250 wrms. in addition, i would flip the box so the sub faces the back of the car leaving a distance of 12" to 20" from the end
