I'm trying to wire my friends amp, MTX Thunder 102. Someone at Cicuit City wired the amp to his stock head unit using hi / low pass wires located behind the head unit. Now, I've put a new after-market head unit in and had to run RCA cables back to the amp. But since i've cut the hi / low pass wires, the amp isn't getting any power. Any ideas why? I know this is a complicated problem and I'm looking for any suggestions. Who wires subs to a stock head unit? I've never heard of that. Thanks!

well you see hi level input/output has speakers and power so you will have to run seperate power cable to the car battery from your amp and then run RCAs to the amp(consult whoever wired the amp in to the stock head unit)

And if the RCAs still dont work you could buy a line out converter whick converts your head units hi level input/output to RCA jaks

you need to connect the amp's remote turn-on wire to the remote trigger or power antenna lead of the enw head unit.
that should be all you need to do.
