i wanna know what yall think about infinity 1230w reference subs??
Are they good, bad, o.k. and why???

i used to own a pair. i liked them alot when i had them. i thought they sounded a little muddy in the lower register but all round good. personaly i would consider alpine type s as well

Infinitys Best Sub is the Perfect 12.1
They can be found for less than $100 are are superior to the reference series.

But to answer your question, the reference is an "O.K." sub at best. It's their bottom of the line sub. I wouldn't buy it, I'd save my money first. What's your budget?

Look into the Perfects, Vega V-Max, Kicker CompVR or Alpine TypeR for budget subs. The V-Max would be my pick. 2 for $178 shipped of www.onlinecarstereo.com

i found 2 kappa perfect 12.1's for $262, this includes shipping and handling. is there a better price out there???

Yeah, that shipping sucks......I haven't found anything cheaper. But like I said, the V-Max has good SQ and good SPL. It's a great sub and lots of people like them here.
