OK now I will actually try to be helpful - What sounds are you trying to hear through the home theater? (Examples would be a cable/Satellite box, DVD player, VCR, etc.) Depending on the Home Theater package you generally hook all of the devices up to it befor running a signal to the TV. |

Depending on the age of your equipment, you may not have hdmi. If not, use component.Connect all the components to it and then one output to the TV input .
