I nee help with my pc equalizer

hey there i am quite new at using equalizers properly .
What i want to know is
(Hz) 100 200 400 600 1K 3K 6K 12K 14K 1K.
which is for what?
eg. Bass Treble Voice etc..

There is only one way to properly use an equalizer and that is to tune the sound to the way you like to hear it best. Most will correctly argue that an equalizer should not be used at all as it is altering the source in ways never intended by the artist but if you like the resulting sound, who can argue with that?

Anyway, as the numbers rise so do the resulting notes, in other words the bigger then number the higher the pitch.

The low numbers will be for the bass settings and the high numbers (the ones with the K behind them) will be for the treble.

i tune most of my EQ's like a V or on the left end right above the middle, the moving to the middle i go down then back up when i get to the right

That is very typical in that you are attenuating (lessening) the Highs and lows while boosting the frequencies closer to the 200 Hz sweet spot.

As far as your original question goes, if it sounds right to you it is tuned perfectly!!!
