New member Username: Ihernandez81Post Number: 1 Registered: Dec-05 | Looking for some advise from owners of YHT-360 by Yamaha and Sony SSMF550H Floor Speakers. I just bought the whole thing but haven't set it up yet. I have to wait until we move in to the house but after reading some of the reviews on Sony Speakers and Yamaha Speakers from Theater in A Box systems I'm a bit dissapointed in what I bought. I haven't heard it yet and I already want to return the whole thing! A lot of the reviews and tips from other writters suggest that Sony speakers are over priced and don't sound good at certain frequencies and Yamaha speakers are just horrible. I think the only good thing I bought is the Yamaha Reciever, I didn't find any complaints on those but didn't find anything good on them either. Does anyone have any suggestions or previous experiance with these? I guess I'm looking for some feed back on what you experts think about this setup, I'll go home tonight and try it out but while I'm here at work I wanted to see if anyone had some idea as to what I should expect to hear from this setup. Then go and listen to other speakers that are available in your area and decide for yourself. What people say is moot when you have the ability to make a decision on your own. You perception will be different from everyone else. |

New member Username: Ihernandez81Post Number: 3 Registered: Dec-05 | Ok Question: Amp has 720Watts x 6 at 6 Ohms, if I put 8 Ohm speakers on it, will they sound louder or quiter or will the receiver just up the volts to bring the watts up to 120W through an 8 Ohm connection? |
