Well, I had been working away at this, like lighting it when I had time. So the otherday I decided to pile some wood against it and man was it going good. I figured like 2-3 hours like this and it would be gone. Next thing, the fire dept pulls up, Says someone ratted me out and that I needed to put it out. He then says wait till burning season and get a permit. So Ive been stacking wood there for the last few days in anticipation for burning season. gonna have a mini bonfire there then.

Yeah I hate where I live due to some of the same reasons. I can't burn squat, unless it's in a chiminea. I remember living in central PA where you could burn anything. Even your trash!! You could also openly shoot the varmits on your property. In Jersey you get hauled away to jail for firing a gun.

It's all location.

Engine 2 responded to xxxxx Avenue for a report of someone burning a tree trunk. On arrival, crew reported fire was put out and homeowner advised, 5:04 p.m.
