That will happen Mat because they search for keyloggers. This is in case someone put one on your computer. Everything should be fine though as long as you didn't alert to a trojan or worm. 99% of the stuff I get is clean, although I didn't scan this file. There is something extra in the serial/patch zip once in awhile and you have to watch for that.

I downloaded and scanned it when I got home and it does indeed contain a generic trojan.

Same program but scanned clean:

I have NOD32 uploaded here which is a very good anti. Nick V has been riding ESET's dick for years.
The included license (the username and password below) is good until 11/09.

And lovin every inc.....year.

Also, if just so happens that the user and pass gets on the blacklist, I know of a great site where there is a new list posted everyday of user/passes

ESET ftw.

Sorry to thread jack.

Brad. My Norton subscription is about to be up soon. I want to know what FREE antivirus would you use? I am looking into Avast and Avira. What do you think?

Free I would go with AVG. But why not grab NOD32 from the link above?

AVG is what I use... IMO it's the best of the free ones.

Agreed MS, Free is good enough to run every day. The new Pro 8.0 is very nice too.

Jesse make sure you run the NRT here:
http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039

Shitmantec products, by their nature, leave a ton of registry entries and files littered all over your computer, and some of them may try to run in memory and other apps.

What a breath of fresh air it will be for you moving up to NOD32. Norton is an absolute resource-hogging, bloated failure. Run their NRT (it's hilarious that THEY make a program to remove their mess) and then run JV16 Power Tools, which you (everyone) should have. If you don't, link is below. Scan your registry and double check for any norton or symantec entries. It is always a very good idea to keep an eye on your registry with JV16 and you will learn what is ok to be in there just by the repetition of seeing them every couple days. I have been using it for over seven years.

IrfanView, Sygate Pro and JV16PT are the three things I put on a new computer by default, every time. Add a top notch anti like Kaspersky, MKS Vir, Extendia, Bit Defender, NOD etc., a top spyware scanner like SpySweeper, SpyBot, Ad Aware Pro, Ewido/AVG, StopZilla... then add a couple extra things like CWShredder and HijackThis, and you're good to go. Jesse I saw that you called and tried to call back but my phone/batt is so jacked up.... got a new LG VX8300 on the way. Sorry about that man.

They don't. I had an 8300 for about two months until I lost it somehow. Was the best phone I ever had. But my buddy sold me a bnib white chocolate for $40 with all the extras and I know some girls at Verizon so the transfer was free. Turns out the white chocolate is the biggest pile of shit ever. So I snagged a near mint used 8300 off ebay for 60 shipped. That's the only way to get them anymore unless you buy a bnib one from some shady place that kept some and charge major $$$. The really great phones hold their value, and beat to shit 8300's are all over ebay for up to $80. I was lucky after two days of searching I found a guy in Cali with one in excellent shape, and.... he threw in a bnib headset, leather flip case, + the car and home chargers with original box and manuals, what would have been like $500+ one year ago... all for $60 shipped ftmfw :-)
