I like my truck, does what I need it to do. The seats get wobbly in em (on ext cabs, since you always swing em forward to get to the back seat).
Just make sure its in good shape and well kept.
My truck is a 98 w/ the 4.3L v6 and ~170k on it and still runs good. All i have ever replace was the intake gasket and tires. Still get ~16m/gal w/ all my audio stuff, but I have an 02 sensor out. I was getting 18m to 20m before it threw a code.
Oh...and if you do are loudish audio system, DEADEN THE ROOF. That likes to rattle.
