I have a Sony KS 27S15 VCR/DVD recorder. I receive my TV signal through cable provided by WowWay (company probably doesn't make a difference). When I had their cable box I was able to record on the VCR/DVD recorder with no problems. I didn't use the digital feature much at all and decided to go back to the "basic" service when they started charging extra in 2010 for rental of the box (plus basic service cheaper than digital). Anyhow, to my dismay the VCR/DVD recorder does not have a digital tuner and I can't record TV programs. I tried several places to purchase a digital tuner without any success. Any suggestions (legal) other than going back to renting the cable box and paying extra for digital service. Any/all suggestions are appreciated.
