I have an Dish Network HD receiver. One T.V. is connected via component cables. Shouldn't I be able toI connect another T.V. using an HDMI cable to the HDMI ouput of the receiver? I've tried but get no signal??????????
Does the component connection cancel the signal to the HDMI ouput?

Thanks

zulu;

Are you saying I should use an S Video to RCA component adapter from the Dish Network receiver to the 2nd T.V.?
Any ideas why the HDMI won't work?

ShamWow!

Check in your receiver menu setting video output, you must have the choice between many outputs.

Dish has different HD receivers for connecting either
one or two HDTVs.

If you have a legit subscription with Dishnet, best thing to do
is have them change your receiver for a minimum extra cost.

If you don't care about having independent control for each TV.
then just buy a HDMI Splitter. (or Radio-Shack equivalent).
