What is the best IKS receiver?

You absolutely need the Bell or the DN receiver primed with ROM102. You need separate receivers for DN and BEV. IKSlinger is for the technically savvy. However, you do get ALL the channels (DN or BEV) if you are pointing correctly i.e. you do get all the Internationals and PPVs under the appropriate conditions. This would be from the public IKSlinger servers. You do need to jtag. You will NOT get freeze ups and ECMs, etc. You CAN set up your own as a server as well - if you do that you can share with about 40 others before the burden gets too heavy on your server. |

However, because of the secondary security arranged at the mexican server end, you CANNOT use a CNX nano. So either you buy the unit from a mexican distributor (There are a couple of genuine delaers on Ebay) with the key for about $220, or you buy a CNX nano and hopefully buy a key for $100. There are no other charges at present. The likelihood of your having to pay monthly or yearly fee is eqaul amongst Nfusion, SV360,Kbox and Ilink 220 It gives a lot of Spanish channels , and a lot of PPVs. Because it is intended for the Mexican market, they have not provided other Internationals - notably very few, if any Indian channels. |
