On a side note, I was recently privy to certain information which leads us to believe that a fix for the new system may be released in the first week of July. As usual, it will be released as freeware. Rumour has it that Sonicview and C**lsat will be the first brands to release fixes however this is all only a rumour and may not even be correct at all. There is however a lot of money and many individual's resources invested in developping a new fix, it will come. Some small underground group may have already cracked it and are simply awaiting the time to be right before releasing it.

Beta testing is done by selected few individuals, and after they have reported back to the software developer, the developer would make changes and perhaps release it or ask for further testing.
Major software products are put out for Beta testing by a wider user group.

Plymouth how many sats are you aimed at and how many double or triple channels do you get?

In March, 2009, on a converted 2500, and a full setup for 118/119, a blind scan using Universal 2 setting of LNB, you can get about 1200 channels - that goes to one input of a DiseqC switch.
A 61.5 W connected to another input gave some 120 channels.
A Bev dish connected to a third input of the DisEqc gave about 400 channels.

The above is based on fixed Dishes. Plymouth has a motorised Dish, an he should get over 2000 channels, if there was no Nagra 3. He also has the ability to scan some of the Sats we rarely scan.

Doreen

Before Bev and Dn switch to N3, I was get over 2700 channels, after Bev swith over 2000 channels.

I am able to get 27 satellites now but, I will install my new mat 48' and maybe get more, because in summer the f0cking trees neigbor block the signal(40 feets high).

Next for me is buy a 120 cm motorized dish and get few C-band channels.

Doreen: Your head is sunk in KU which is now mostly mud. However, Plymouth with his larger motorised Dish is scanning a lot of True FTA. Therefore, viewing 1500 channels is quite a realistic statement and probably an understatement.

LOL ... I understand about the trees I have 70 trees next door... Thinking of getting some copper nails and sneaking over some night when they are out

Why so many sats? most are the same with same channels maybe a few more or less...

C-band .... what after the Nagra 3 fix ? Will they all still work?

Doreen

It' s not 2or 3 trees but a forest around me.

On C-Band you can get all special Events like Nascar and many other then it' s totally free.

Now you can get C-Band with a 36" dish.
