My current setup uses an elliptical dish with 2 circular LNBs to get DN 110 and 119. All works well and dandy.

I purchased a new circular LNB that has the ability to get 119 and 118.8, and I wanted to confirm that this new LNB was good.

So, I replaced the existing LNB for DN 119 with the new LNB (119 and 118.8) and everything works.

However, when I replaced the existing LNB for DN 110 with the new LNB (119 and 118.8), I no longer received DN 110. Signal is good, but quality is zero. No changes were made in the sat install menu.

What gives? Thanks in advance.

I think yo might of killed your DISEqC SW
Or some how lost skew angle

I would connect it straight with a coupler to verify working

Out of interest, I set my configuration back to my original setup (e.g. I removed the new LNB (119 and 118.8) from DN 110) and everything is working back to normal now!

Can I assume that the new LNB is faulty?

1. What was the LNB type setting when you had it in place of 119 and what was the LNB type setting when you had it in place of 110?
2. When you say "everything works", do you get 119 AND 118.7 channels?

Yo said as yo placed it worked
How could it be faulty
Yo had some other conflict

I also noticed strange activity by Charlie last 2 days
This may have something to do with it
If it makes feel better

I don't think faulty LNB
Whatever yo do, don't do it at night
Do it in the morning
Many strange things going at night
I'm not kidding
It's my advice
re-try in the morning, be patient

1. LNB type setting remained the same for 119 and 110 at "standard". I did not change any settings at all at any point in time.

2. "Everything works" meaning 110 and 119 are good (signal and quality). I don't care with 118.8 at this point so I didn't evaluate to see if this sat was coming in.

Thanks to all.

King Tapeman...thanks.

I actually tried this over the weekend during the day and the same thing happened.

Could it be that I need to tweak the angles slightly since it is a new LNB? But then again, I'm getting a good signal, right?

No problem
OSC-DP is a freq pre-set anyway that scans for 2 LNBs in one scan no big deal
