I have dish 500 with 2 lnb, been using to get 110 and 119. I've been trying but not able to get 82 and 91. I'm able to pickup 91 with Q in the 70's but not 82. angle and skrew is set according to dishpoint.com, I've move the angle and skrew around but the best was only picking a couple of TP's with Q in the 20's for 82. Anyone in TX able to pickup both birds. thanks.
In north cal I getting both with very signal (91 about 78% and 82 74% ) but getting signal from even tps only) Any idea if I can get signal from all the tps??
Heyguys ,the setting for your skew on dish 500 might be your problem. I know it was mine. The skew settings that dish point give you are for the skew on your LNBs. They are aready set on your dish, but the skew setting on the back needs to be set, or you will experiance the same problems/partial TPs /partial channels. Also most DP 500s only need 1 line out of your Lnbs. Each outlet port off your LNBs carry both 91-82 signals. If you run more than 1 (to your recevier)/disq switch) you will end up with double/triple channels.
"dtv 3 lnb sitting no use" As far as I know, it will give you 82 or 91 but not both. No harm in testing. You are a good and persistent tester. Or why not try it to get 97W (Galaxy 25)?
I'm going to say something not everyone will like I have seen first hand unconfirmed indications that BEV changing 91 to an FSS or DSS This may explains why many people getting low Q on 91
I'm used to a lot of critisism And I've heard it 1000 times before But I'm telling yo all loud and clear I have unconfirmed indications that 91 has 2 sets of satellites
What I tell yo now may sound a bit strange today But things yo'll find at your own pace later
The reason why I say unconfirmed I don't have BEV and I rarely scan 91 Cuz where I live it's too cold for me to get out there and mount a new dish or scan it So for now I tell yo it's an educated guess BEV has a possible FSS or DSS at 91/92 two satellites sid by side Whatever it is or whatever it means
As soon as the weather gets nicer in NY area I will confirm it In the mean time be my guest to test it for your self Let me know if yo have any question, jokes, threats etc.
I know the old dtv3 will only get me one bird because of its' built-in switch, I was referring to using the dish only because of it different shape and change the lnb with a dual lnb. Not sure if it will work but I'll give it a try this weekend.
Nalin, you mentioned 97W, I don't see it on lyngsat. What's on it and do I need a bigger dish?
can any one confirm all the options on antenna setup page to set 82W satallite. i have dish pro 500 dish with dual lnb. any help will be really greatful
Thanks Sada, I have a CS5000. I do not see anything like that, although I get very good signal when I select Echostar 110 and I can see bev 82 locked on right top corner. When I scan Echo 110, I cannot get any bev channels
ok in simple words.. what does it says on sattelite name.. change the name u wil see glaxy..etc. change the name to nimpq2 or bev 82 (what ever it says) then go to port setting and change your port.. depending on ur port setting 82 might be on port2 or port 3...etc... finally when its the right port with right dish u wil see green signals on bottom and u will see dish name (one u changed) and one with ur port setting ... both on top.. it all matter whats a dish name on top,. not the one that u choose..
