I just did do the second box and its working at 100%. What i did on this was i got dulicate channels and i didnt get all of the channels so i deleted the channels to start over and then all this happened. |

Works on GENUINE ver. 1 & 2 VSUs Will repair what appeared to be unrepairable 'dead' box... - Unit will not respond to your remote - USB not recognized - the old favorites '----' and 'fail' - Unlocks hopelessly locked units - Works on GENUINE VSUs - The list goes on... Needed... Loader2, the PVRloader is just as good A NULL cable Install 'mainpg.pgm' via your serial port, your presumed dead unit is now behaving as new! Now get the latest fix and install via your thumb drive. You DO NOT have to install a factory file. |

Turn off the receiver from the back. 2. Use null modem cable which came with the box. 3. Open the loader 2 and select factory file 117 4. Click Pc-->Stb. Turn on the receiver from the back after 4-5 seconds. 5. It will say Download Complete on the computer and it might say "Failed" on the recevier's LCD 6. Turn off the receiver from the back. 7. Run the loader 2 again & upload the latest bin file to box 8. Turn the power on from the back after 4-5 seconds. 9. Let it run and this time it will successfully download. Do not power off the receiver when download completes for a while. You are good to go.. fta tester take a look at this i saved it from awhile back i think you may have helped the guy get this info . if this works let me know i have never done this myself thanks and hope this help's |

I have the Dish 500 i have 2 cables (119,110)running to a DP34 switch. then i have 1 cable running to each of the 2 recievers. would the reason im no seening signal at all on some channels is because i need one more reciever to power the DP34? (3 total recievers) could it be because ones is an extreme and one is an ultra. (i do have 2 working boxes) I notice that when i go to antenna set up there is no signal then i change the TP Freq. i get signal. Save it then go right back and there is no signal. |

He checked cables, everything ok, changed to DP44 with power inserter and all channels received. |

Connect the "Master" and "Clone" ViewSats using a NULL MODEM cable d. MENU--INSTALLATION--RECEIVER UPGRADE--ALL INFORMATION e. "OK" and the "MASTER" ViewSat sets up to send data to the "Clone" ViewSat f. Turn the "Clone" ViewSat's power switch to "ON" and the transfer begins NOTE: AFter the transfer is completed, the "Clone" ViewSat needs up to 1 minute to process the transferred data. Watch the Front Panel on the "Clone" ViewSat. "inst" will be displayed for ~ 15 seconds "DONE" will be displayed for ~ 10 seconds REBOOT will occur automatically without user intervention " on " will be displayed during reboot "0 0 0 0" will show when the "Clone" has finished--no more than 1 minute after data transfer You may now Power "OFF" the "Clone" ViewSat, disconnect the NULL MODEM cable and go use your new Clone ViewSat |

A cloned receiver like you hear so often about is one that made by another company NOT viewsat to look and act like a viewsat. think of it as an imposter.... What you will be doing is just simply "cloning" all the data from one working receiver to your non working receiver.. I hope that clears that up some |
