Hey all - I am looking to get a 2nd receiver for my home and curious as to what everyone thinks is the best.
I currently have VS Xtreme and have had a Pansat clone ( which no longer works ) and other then thoes 2 receivers I am clueless as to which other are good to deal with. Also if any of the others have clones - which ones and how to spot them.
Any advice would be appreciated.....Thanks!

Know known clones for the NFusion. Which is a good thing. NFusion normally up within a couple hours via IKS.

Keep in mind also that Viewsat and Sonicview are currently being sued by Eccostar.

Dayle,

I have a Pansat 2500a Clone, 100% UP,
First time I flashed went OFF after 3 days, no lights, nothing.

Then was JTAGGED (a simple software direct flashing method) and everything was OK, flashed every time since then, no problems at all.

I also JTAGGED a Fortec Life Time Ultra clone, same problem, same procedure, IS STILL WORKING fine.

Thing is if you are carefully and like to learn, you can have ANY receiver.

A friend buy a VS 2000 Extreme paid 200$+tax, know is afraid to flashit BECAUSE those receivers ARE DELICATE and EXPENSIVE, and if you DAMAGED by flashing it with a WRONG bin, then there is NOT GUARANTEE.

Any receiver you FLASH with an NOT AUTHORIZED bin LOSSES ITS GUARANTEE.

So with this info on hand, take your decision.

PD. A friend ask the store he wants to have a good receiver instead of a clone he Got a NORSAT 7500a, WOW what a DEAL (jiji, I FLASHED AS A VULGAR PANSAT 2500a CLONE) it was really a PANTEC MS+ or something, with options for Fortec or Pansat.
