Hi, I am new too all this and have the following questions ...
(1) Why does ECM only effect FTA Receivers and not the Dish or Bell Receivers themselves. How do they get updated with the latest Keys or Encoding Algorithm?
(2) How does PPV work with Provider receivers. I kow that in Cable world each receiver has an Id and a signal is send to specific receiver to enable a specific event. And a customer is billed accordingly. Does Satellite do the same?
