61.5 not workin for me????? no signal????

Bronze Member Username: JbourikosPost Number: 25 Registered: Oct-06 | i only have signal on one tp..... i cant figure it out???? my other sat is working and is connected using a switch to my receiver i changed the lnb on 61.5 (it worked for 30 mins) stopped working (no signal) changed the rg6 cable....changed the switch two times..... tried all software settings ...tried factory default....tried loading bin over again..... im guessing its a hardware problem but i dont know what else to change.... my dish is aimed perfectly and is very stable there is no interference across the street either...its all open please help thanks |

Bronze Member Username: JbourikosPost Number: 30 Registered: Oct-06 | i have tons of sat parts so im not worried about that.... ok this is the setup inside: viewsat ultra (latest bin installed march) rg6 cable running to it from outside outside: switch connected to two sats bev 91 (works perfect) dish 61.5 (does not work except for 1 tp) bev dish is bev brand with dishnet lnb 61.5 is dtv brand dtv lnb i have had them working for 1.5 years and just the other day the 61.5 decided to give me a little trouble i powered off the box and unplugged the coax and the power went outside: changed lnb and switch went inside: worked for about 30 mins and then same thing says no signal loaded bin over after loading factory 3x factory defaulted etc.... changed coax outside from dish to switch tried so many different things.... im gonna run some more tests on it tomorrow but i was trying to find out if anyone knows of more tests i can try to determine the problem the bev works perfectly and it even reads the 61.5 in the antenna settings settings are as follows 61.5 11250 standard port 2 (it reads the dish as echo 3 as well with full signal but only 1 tp has quality) 91 11250 standard port 3 (it reads the dish as nimiq 1.3 as well with all tps full signal and quality) |

What LNBs do you have? - I got the part U say viewsat receiver - Everything was working for 18 months - 61.5 and 91 I have to assume U got 2 dishes because the only other way you'll get them is a super dish. |

Silver Member Username: Cartier1Post Number: 339 Registered: Feb-07 | jb remember lot of tp's has zero signal in echo 3. echo 3 ahs only 173 channels . try tp 12472 and see if it gets the signal ; check if ur dish has moved. the best way bypass the switch use stright cable to the receiver and see what happen . orrrrrr if u got an other reciver see if it works with that . just to have peace of mind that there is nothing wrong with your receiver . dont buy lnb's dont waste money . if u get level high that mean the lnb is fine . |

Bronze Member Username: JbourikosPost Number: 32 Registered: Oct-06 | thats the thing...i checked all the tps (mysteriously one of them has 50%q on it all have 70%s) none of hte other ones work i know 61.5 well and know that every other tp has channels instead of each and every one i will try straight through tomorrow and see...i will try my other boxes as well and see if they can get it.... i have tons of sat parts...lnbs...switches...cables...etc...im not worried about wasting money since i already have enough parts to make my house look like a space station :p thanks guys i will give it a shot n get back to u with some results james |
