I was just thinking, with the PANSAT-7000HD and NEUSAT-SP8000HD (already packed in KOREA), being loaded into hundreds of container vans to be shipped-out to US and Canada, what are they gonna do? They are supposed to be out on the market this July, 2006. These are the first HD FTA receivers and HD FTA PVRs (plus other brands of course).I bet you guys, those Koreans are (also) working day and night with their "ARITHMETICS" to come up with a BIN. While they are working on their "algorithms","binaries or bin" repeating it over and over for a new BIN, let's pray the Hail Mary too.
*Specs of those boxes could be google searched.

I think the koreans are all staring at those boxes day and night. Thinking if they could turn some parts of them into watches.

Might be a dumb question as no one will be able to answer but are the HD channels ECM'd right now? And is there any ramifications to ECM'ing HD channels to subscribers?

I don't think HD channels are anything special with regards to ECM. HD just used multiple channels and compression (for BW-limitation reasons). But apart from the compression, these channels get authenticated the same way as any other channel.
