Pansat 3500SD & DishNetwork

New member Username: Hs_2050Post Number: 1 Registered: May-06 | I am new to this whole satellite system, and I have been doing a lot of reasearch. I've learned alot, but have more questions. Basically my question is I have 1 Dish500 dish which points to 61.5 and I have a SuperDish 121 (110,119,121). It works fine with 1 Pansat 3500SD rec (for most of the channels). I do not get the the channels which are encrypted by the digicipherII encryption method (Is there anyway to get thsoe??). The 2nd part of the question is how do I go about hooking up 2 or more 3500's to both of the satellites. I've seen contradictory info out there. Can a dp34 switch work in this sort of a setup? Please pelase please help anyone. Or atleast point me to some sort of a website where I can find this sort of information... Thanks. |

Gold Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 2273 Registered: Jan-06 | DP switches are for Dish Pro LNB's only.....and U have 4 sats...a DP34 is ONLY for 3 sats...U need a 4x4 multiswich from www.sadoun.com digicipherII encryption////whatis that? ...61.5, 110, 119 and much 121 is nagravision2 (N2) encryption...all Dishnetwork is N2 encrypted...U just need some N2 bins and learn how to setup that pansat 3500 for it...its in the pansat 3500 set up guides at every DSS site like dsstester.c*om...the N2 bins files are there too |

I am looking at the following switch and am ready to buy it, but just wanted to dobule check if this was the correct one. http://www.sadoun.c*m/Sat/Products/Channel-Master/6904IFD-Multi-Switch.htm has a 4x4 multiswitch but the last bullet point says that "...Does Not work with Dish Network" Will it still work with my Pansat 3500? I did see that the band (950-2150Mhz) are the same for the pansat and for the switch. |
