May be someone can help me. Is it possible to connect a DVR to my pansat 2500/2700 and use it's EPG to record any channel I want? I know we can record the channel we are watching. My question is, can I do the timer recording just like I can do it with my legit Dishnet DVR/receiver combo? If I buy a DVR with EPG and connect it to my pansat 2500/2700, program the timer recording, will it tune the pansat and record the channel I selected or will it always record channel 3 only? Any input will be appreciated!

This will only work if we can program our FTA to turn on and tune to the channel we are about to record. Can we program our FTA to do this?
