I have a Cool*Sat 4000 Pro with old software, I am trying to transfer the new software by comp and by using my other Cool*Sat Plus. I've succesfully updated my 4000 Plus on my comp. BUT THE PRO WONT WORK! I've tried over 3 diff kinds of cables, but they keep saying "Connect you STB and turn it on...". Maybe I have a bad STB port on my Pro version?

bad news: I am having a similar problem.
good news: The rs232 receiver chip is max232. very common chip, widely avaialble. replaceable by steady-handed enthusiast.
