I'm currently in the market for a new tv. After winning a used plasma tv at a company auction, it is starting to show different colored lines of pixels in addition to burn in it already had. Enjoyment from watching it has dropped considerably. I do not want to go back to plasma and, after living with plasma definitely do not want to go back to conventional tv.

I have been reading about dlps and they look fantastic. One of my few concerns is lag. Being an avid gamer I wish to purchase a tv not only for tv and movies, but also playing games. I currently have an Xbox and looking to the future I was looking for a tv that can grow with me as I look towards new consoles, the PS3 and/or Xbox2.

I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on a good DLP television to buy somewhere in the $2000-$2500 price range that is a good performer for tv/dvd and especially gaming (without the lag).

Thanks,

Ken

This is currently the only Samsung that has no game A/V lag whatsoever. Many consider Samsung to be the superior picture of all DLP's. An extended warranty is a must for anything you choose. Preferably one that covers lamps.

Check out the Toshiba 52HM94. It has a "game mode" for games that require split second timing. Also, Toshiba warrants the lamp for 1 year along with the rest of the set.
