i think you are all helping me to finally narrow down my choices. give me some more support in narrowing it down from these three and tell me why please. thanks in advance.
i'm considering energy c-3's, klipsch rb 25's, axiom m22ti, all bookshelfs for the front. i'm not sure if this is a sin, but i love difinitive technology for a center channel as it brings out voices like nothing else i've heard, i'm not so sure i'm hot on them for fronts though. can you mix brands like that and still be okay for sound? surrounds and back center will come later when i have the money. thanks for any help.
I would not recommend mixing your front speakers. You want a seamless soundstage and the best way is to have your front three all have the same drivers or at least match tonally. For all the speakers you mentioned I would go with the Marantz reciever. It is a better match sonically plus has better build quality and better 5 channel power.
