Good match for Klipsch quintets - NAD T742 or Onkyo 601?

I have a set of Klipsch Quintets and an SV SB1 sub in my HT setup. Unfortunately, satellites are my only option due to WAF. It is time to upgrade my ailing Sony Pro-logic receiver.
After much browsing I had pretty much decided on the Onkyo tx-sr601 but after even heavier browsing of this forum I am now contemplating the NAD T742 receiver. I have fond memories of the NAD components back in the UK but didn't realize that they were even in my price realm until now...
What of the above 2 would be a better pairing? I am concerned that the Klipsches will be too bright w/the NAD and have no way of auditioning this combo. This would be for about 50/50 listening/HT - music at high volumes/HT at low to moderate volume. Any other recommendations would also be appreciated bearing in mind that the budget is around $450
