I have a receiver with only right and left speaker wire ouputs. I already own a sub that connects through an RCA cable, not speaker wire. My receiver is not a surround sound receiver. I have 3 RCA inputs plugged into the receiver. I am very confused on how to connect the three inputs to the sub and the receiver. Any Suggestions?

Unfortunately you cannot hook that sub to your receiver unless the receiver has something like pre-out/main-in jacks.

You could replace the entire sub or just the amplifier section with one that has speaker level inputs.

If you have a powered subwoofer just come out of your headphone jack on the amp (1/4" stereo to RCA Type converter chord required)into your subwoofer. Works Great

When you plug anything into the headphone jack doesn't it mute the speakers?
