$1000 for home theater speakers and receiver: recco?

I have $1000 budget (not including cabling) for a HT receiver and (6.1) surround speakers. Interested in best match for movie watching.

How about the HK AVR-325 (can get for $400), with which speakers?

Any other combo for the price?
