If you could purchase the Onk SR 701 for 599.00 or the new onk SR 800 for 799.00, which would be the better deal? Is the SR 800 worth the difference in price?

Couldn't say since I haven't heard the 701. Not much difference on features, but I buy for the sound. I would strongly suggest that you compare them at a good dealer and see if you think there is a $200 difference.
