Can some of the board guru's advise if this would be a good match. My room is medium with 8ft ceilings and all I have at this point are MA gold 10's and ASW 110 sub.

I think it would be a horrible combo. Both the Yamaha and the Monitor Audio speakers are on the bright side of neutral. Combined, I would think that it would be so bright as to be downright annoying to listen to. (Yamahas are also among the least musical receivers out there, so I would hope this would be for HT only). But hey, if that is the sound you like, it may be for you.
Given the fact that you already have the Monitor Audio Gold 10s (very nice, BTW), I think you should be looking more at a Marantz 7300, NAD 752, or a Pioneer Elite to go with the MAs.
