I just bought an HK 325 yesterday & was reading through the manual about zone 2. It says that to be able to control the volume, etc., an IR sensor link must be connected to the jack in the back of the receiver. I have a remote extender that has a mini-jack so an infrared eye can be hooked up and hung over the receiving eye of the equipment. Can I run a mini-plug to mini-plug (mono) cable between the extender & the 325, or do I need a proprietary device? Thanks,

In case anyone else needs to know, I made a cable out of 2 mono mini-plugs & microphone cable & it works.
