Hi, I just bought a Pro-ject III turntable, my first return to vinyl in some 12 years.

I had expected to be able to just plug it into my Amp, a NAD 370, and just get going, but no luck. Can't get any output. It's been suggested to me that I need a phono step-up box, but I have no idea. Should I be able to just plug & play? Worried that this might be a product problem rather than a technical one.

Lastly, the Pro-ject III came with an earth connection but I don't see anywhere on the Amp to connect this..........not necessary?

Any help appreciated....

The C370 does not have a phono input, which is common these days. You will need a phono pre-amp: project make a range, as do cambridge audio and also NAD's own PP1 all fo which are around the £40 - £60 mark and a good match for the deck
