Lester Unregistered guest | If your shelf system has detachable speakers and you can get to the speaker wires, then in theory, there's no reason why you couldn't add a sub. However, you will need a powered sub to do this. An inexpensive JBL or Yamaha with speaker in and out connections would do it. If you want a car sub for its looks, then you'll need an amp to drive it. This means the amp has to accept speaker level since you system probably does not have any type of line out. The JVC already has pretty good bass - if you want better sound, you want to go with seperates - separate receiver, CD player, and speakers. Trust me, you would not be happy with the result. |
