I am torn between the Acam 300, and the Outlaw 1735.
Any better or different ideas?
I am prepared for the prices in that range, and prefer something a little brighter than the h/k 85 I am replacing.
Frank is a fan of Arcam, but I am in the colonies, and might want closer support.

In Canada(duties and all), watta you all think?

Lemme know.

Cheers

h/k has great treble extension. the brightest sounding amps i could get consensus on in a post looking for treble freak amps is rotel.

definately put rotel on your shortlist. like me, you'd despise NAD sound.

It's true I am a fan of Arcam, mainly because the last couple of years have seen Arcam come out with some cracking products. However, I have read some good stuff about Outlaw and Anthem and not been able to hear it. Also remember that I have a distinctly UK view of the market, which is dominated by very different pricing structures to the US.

I also agree that local support is important. However, provided your dealer is supported by good distribution, you should not feel significant pain if you have a problem with a product. That's why you're paying a markup rate.

Regards,
Frank.
