I have yamaha htr-5750. Trying decide between low end JBL floor standing or Infinity. Which one whould be better for 60%Music, 40%Movies ?
Infinity beta 40 is more expensive than JBL E60. But are they worth extra money ?
Also, my yamaha is rated max. 95 watts per channel. While JBL E60 and Infinity Beta 40 are around 175 watts max. Is my amp too under-powered for these speakers ? Should I need to change my amp if I get these floor standing speakers ?
The Infinity's are three or four times more expensive. Get the JBL's. I'm very happy with my EC250 center, E100 towers, E250P sub, and E10 surrounds. By shopping around on the web for the lowest prices, I got everything for $1000 including shipping!
